Privacy Statement

At eComfort.com, we are strongly committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and our customer's businesses. eComfort.com knows that you may have concerns about privacy while shopping or surfing on the Internet. This Privacy Policy describes how we use and do not use information provided to us at eComfort.com, and the steps we take to protect it.

Personal information we collect online

eComfort.com's servers automatically record information such as IP address, date and time of access, cookie ID, referrer URL, browser type, etc. When you make a purchase on eComfort.com, we ask for your name, address, phone number, email address and other personal information necessary to fulfill and track your order. For purposes of billing, you will need to provide your credit card type, number and expiration date for the card. To ship your order, we also need the name, address and phone number of the intended recipient(s). You also may create an account through eComfort.com at any time by providing your email address and designating a unique access password. You do not need to create an account in order to visit our site. Creating an account allows you to save certain billing information so that you can track the status of your orders and set your ordering preferences. For your privacy and security, we do not store credit card numbers in your account.

How will my information be used?

Information collected on eComfort.com may be used in the following ways:

  • Create an online account for you at eComfort.com
  • Bill your credit card for your purchases
  • Schedule deliveries of merchandise that you purchase online
  • Confirm and track your orders
  • Respond to your customer service inquiries
  • Send you relevant updates and news from eComfort.com, if you consent to receive such material

In addition, aggregated non-personal information (information that is recorded about users and collected into groups so that it no longer reflects or references an individually identifiable user) may be used to analyze overall buying patterns including types of products, geographic areas of purchases, seasonality of items, etc. This information is used to help offer and deliver relevant products to you, the customer. Occasionally, personally identifiable information may be used to help us to understand how you are using our website so that we can offer and deliver relevant products and marketing material (if you have consented to receive such material) to you.

How do you protect my personal and account information?

All of the transactions on eComfort.com are subject to Starfield Technology’s security system which makes use of 128 bit encryption via digital IDs. These IDs allow us to handle customer’s credit card and personal information without the threat of identity theft or hacking. An additional benefit of using this system is that we do not keep any credit card information on file. When you do business with us you can be certain you are dealing with a Starfield Technology, Inc. certified company.

Is information shared with third parties?

When you buy something from us we send your credit card information, name and the amount of your purchase to your credit card company to verify and authorize the purchase. Your name, telephone number and shipping information must be provided to third party shippers such as UPS, USPS, Yellow or another shipping company to deliver your purchase. We do not share any personally identifiable information (PII) with any other third party except to help analyze purchasing and website-use patterns so that we may offer and deliver relevant products and marketing material to you. In such a case, your PII will be disclosed to such third-party services for the sole purpose of provision of services by the third party service providers to us, eComfort.com. We never provide any of your PII to third parties so that they may contact you in any way, be it marketing or otherwise, besides the credit and delivery conditions stated above.
