    easy to install but not so easy to understand the workings of the unit. instructions were not very detailed. I have the unit installed and it appears it is working but it does not override my boiler thermostat so my boiler is still in charge...

    Unit was straightforward to install. The installation and operating instructions were very comprehensive. My only surprise was that I needed to provide my own source of 24V power. which was not available on my boiler. I bought a Taco 24V transformer from my local HVAC parts house.     This device is much smaller than I thought. I had and existing setup with 3 zone and DHW. I was worried about 256 not having the DHW input to change the boiler temperature but the supplied doocumentation explained how to connect everythinng in many situations including mine.
